Mission statement
Mobility Aids Lending Library (MALL) provides free medical and mobility devices, including canes, walkers, scooters, and wheelchairs, to people who need them in Bloomington, Indiana, and surrounding areas.
As experienced mobility aid users who live with disabilities ourselves, we provide compassionate peer support to match equipment with people who might otherwise be unable to obtain it due to financial constraints, insurance limitations, or other factors.
MALL’s mission of repurposing donated mobility aids offers an environmentally friendly alternative to discarding functional medical equipment.
We welcome and serve everyone, regardless of age, ethnicity, ancestry, gender, national origin, disability, race, size, religion, sexual orientation, socioeconomic background, or citizenship.

Service Area
MALL primarily serves clients in the Bloomington, Indiana metro area. All Indiana residents and visitors are welcome to pick up or donate equipment at our storage location in downtown Bloomington.
We can deliver large items that will not fit in a standard vehicle (such as power wheelchairs) to Monroe, Owen, Lawrence, Greene, Brown, and Morgan County, subject to volunteer availability. Due to time and gas costs, we cannot deliver outside these counties.

About Us
MALL was founded by the Wheelie Women, a group of wheelchair users who realized that their gently used medical equipment could bring greater safety and independence to others. We are proud to be a disabled-run organization, and we embrace the social model of disability: the idea that physical and systemic barriers often limit people more than their medical conditions. For us, mobility aids are freedom — a freedom that everyone deserves to enjoy.
